PAUSE HIV Campaign Launch @ Oppression Fashion Show – 12/1/12

Created collaboratively by IWES staff and youth from the Media Advocates for Prevention program (MAP), IWES presents PAUSE, a campaign designed to encourage youth ages 15-18 to get tested for HIV. The campaign will feature:

  • an Instagram series of memes with helpful tips
  • a series of short “That’s It!” films describing how easy it is to protect oneself from HIV
  • a 5-episode soap opera following six teens on their transition to college that highlights some of the challenges and successes of their relationships

In it’s 24th year, IWES celebrates this World AIDS Day with a PREMIERE of our NEWEST film, “That’s It_Clinic,” as we kick off the PAUSE campaign! Join us at the American Friends Service Committee’s Oppression Fashion Show (see photo from last year’s show above) this Saturday, 12/1, to learn more about the campaign, watch MAP films, meet MAP youth Peer Advocates, and get FREE resources like MAP kits (which have Trojan condoms) and DVDs.
