STI/HIV PREVENTION & CARE

Our STI/HIV Prevention & Care division aims to reduce HIV stigma and expand access to HIV/STI treatment and care, specifically among African American and Latinx people ages 13 and older. Due to the uneven impact of HIV and other STIs among minorities in the South, and, in particular, in Louisiana, we work towards ending the HIV epidemic by decreasing the rising rates of STIs, increasing visibility and accessibility of services, and normalizing conversations about risk and prevention. We achieve these goals through programs and services, which include a virtual support group for Black women living with HIV.

The MORE Project's Guide to Care is a collection of services, programs and resources that may aid in improving your health and well-being. This guide contains a list of 70+ trusted providers in our community that provide quality services and useful resources for you and your family. IWES staff verify the phone numbers, addresses, hours of operation, and payment options for each agency listed regularly, yet please contact us if there is anything that needs to be corrected or if there is a resource you think we should add.
